The islands of Dønna and Herøy have beautiful nature and a rich history.
With high mountains and white beaches, we experience the entire spectrum of what the coast has to offer.
Tour program:
Our tour start the in Sandnessjøen and taking the ferry to
Bjørn on Dønna.
Our local guide join us on to the Dønnes
mountain to explain the view and surroundings.
We will also visit the church in Dønna and enjoy a stop with coffee and cake on the old Dønnes farm.
Then we will continue to Herøy island and at Seløy we will have lunch and get know about the history about fish and spesial the salmon butchery and learn more about processing and selling one of the most important exporting goods, besides oil, in Norway.
Further on we will visit the old stone church of Herøy which was built in the
1100 and has some very nice silver and an impressive pulpit paintet by Gottfried Ezekiel in 1764.
We will take a ferry again to Søvik and driving back to Sandnessjøen along the spectacular coastline.
