Hunting the Northern Light
A dance on light feet, flowing drapes, bows, and ribbons in an ethereal green color! Join us in chasing the Northern Lights just outside Bodø, the city directly north of the Arctic Circle.
Northern Lights Tour in Bodø:
Season: 15th September- 31th March.
At 8:00 PM, there is a departure from Bodø Tourist Information in the city center for our trip to find the Northern Lights.
The departure time may be adjusted slightly based on weather forecasts for optimal Northern Lights viewing, and participants will be informed well in advance of any changes.
During the trip, there will be information about the day's excursion and what to expect to see, as well as an introduction to what the Northern Lights are and how they occur. This will be shown visually with images and explained during the bus ride out of the city.
After arriving at the evening's viewing spot, hot drinks and snacks will be served.
Usually, we see the Northern Lights relatively early on our trips, and around 11:30 PM, we will return to the starting point in Bodø.
To make the trip as successful as possible, it is important not to get cold. Therefore, wearing warm and suitable clothing and shoes is essential for this excursion.
